Chelamattam is a remote and rural village belonging to Ernakulam District in Kerala State. St. Sebastian's Church situates 2kms away from the Perumbavoor - Kalady Road. It is under St. Theresas Forane Church, Vallom, Perumbavoor.
The effort of building a new church with the convenience of including all the Parishioners has begun 2 years ago. Now with the blessing of the St. Sebastian,they could have laid a foundation stone in December 12, 2016. It was done by the Auxiliary Bishop of Ernakulam - Angamaly Archdiocese the Most

The St. Sebastian's Church , Chelamattam was started in 1995. When the Church was built, there were only112 families under it. Now the number increased to 170 after 2 decades. Now, there is Holy Mass for four days in a week and in Sundays, Catechism classes are also conducted in the Church.
The Feast of St. Sebastian, our Patron Saint is celebrating on 2nd Sunday of January every year.

Parish is governed by a Committee known as parish council under the guidance Vicar and Assistant Vicar. Day to day affairs are supervised by the trustees.
